Metropcs double billed me for almost 6 months, billing my old credit card and the new one I told them to switch to on multiple occasions. Every month for 6 months it was the same hassle.
I finally went in to the corp store to tell the manager to quit billing altogether when he said if I quit for a week then came in I would be on a new plan, get more options for less $$ etc. I quit and waited about 2 months or more then went in because they were having a rebate on the Admire phones. He said I would get the rebates (my daughter's previous metro phone speaker didn't work so I bought two Admires) I questioned him as to the validity and surety of their rebates and he assured me they were good and that we qualified since we quit and rejoined. He gave me all the paperwork and we went home. I completed all the paperwork and sent it in before the deadline and received an email that it was being processed. I waited. And waited. Months have gone by. I have just spent over an hour on the phone first,to the rebate number who told me that it wasn't valid because I was we already had an account!!! They gave me the metro number and a tracking number and told me to call the customer service at metro and explain then conference call them back with the ok to process the rebate. Guess what? The customer no-service said the new phones were add ons to the old account and that the rebate people had the final say...all this before she even asked me my phone account number! I told her what the manager at the store said/did and that obviously it was processed wrong on Metro's end and that wasn't my fault. I wanted what I was promised, because I wouldn't have bought the phones without the expectation of the rebates. It is infuriating to speak to someone who just says over and over like a parrot "I am sorry this was your experience but unfortunately I can't help you. It shows it was an add on." UGH! Migraine!! On top of that it occurred to me to as why did I pay $10 each to port my husbands and daughter's numbers over to the new account? That surely is illegal to charge someone to port over their number from an existing account??? If they didn't know it was for a new account why did they charge me the port fees, and why did the manager give me the rebate assurance, paperwork and directions? I will be doing all I can to get this MetroPcsScam practice out in the open. The no help superviser said her name is Donna id#904736 and she and the worker who answered me and the first one that answered and hung up on me (good try lady) all sound like they are from an outsourced Indian company.
