i had a phone call from a firm they called themselves right financial to offer me a loan nothing was mentioned about having to pay any money but they took 69.95 out of my bank and i heard nothing about a loan i have since tried ringing their number on the letter which is 0844 692 3880 and this number is not even in service can anyone help me get my money back

- hi, i am probably in the process of being scammed by this company, who are very clever at lying. they phoned me but i missed their call so they left a message telling me i had been excepted for a loan, they also left this phone number to call them back....01158968601, so get them on that. i called them back, went thro few details and she was clever not to tell me bout the £69.95 til after i had gave her me long card num to prove i was me and the bank acc was active. she told me i had been 100% approved and had passed the cred check, she didnt tell me that the loaner could still turn me down. in a nut shell i called them back to cancel, very pushy and didnt want me to. in end they gave me customer service num...08446923880 and i did talk to someone and managed to cancel...but had nothing in writing so emailed them asked them to send me conformation, the cheek of them, they phoned to tell me! so i said to email me to tell me and yes you guessed they havent contacted me. they are supposed to be taking the money out on monday coming and althou i have cancelled i have the feeling they will still take it. so i dont know what to do. they need closing down!!

I just joined up on this site after searching for Davenport Blake after them taking money out of my account after I had looked at possibly taking a loan out before Christmas. I decided not to bother with a loan and had at no time agreed to paying a fee of any kind. Needless to say I had problems getting an agreement for a refund so I sent them-
In reference to the previous calls and e-mails, I have just come off the phone with the OFT as you are not FSA registered. It appears that the number you gave me was the business registration and you do appear to be a genuine company with a valid consumer credit license 63877. As you know I have received the refund letter which I will be posting today. I would highlight that despite what you have said there is no impediment to the refund being made immediately and would request that you do so. I would also point out that should this not happen I will be making my contact with the Office of Fair Trading official, which can have ramifications in respect of your consumer credit license.
Within half an hour they contacted me assuring I would be refunded today.
I will update you as to the success of this.
I look forward to a prompt response.
