Back in the summer of 2004 we regrettably redeemed a coupon from Georgian Manor (RHG) in Collingwood, Ontario. We were offered 2 nights accommodation for a nominal fee provided that we sit through a presentation. They were selling a time share for their property. Included in the purchase of the time share was a certificate for a 7 day cruise for two from I.C.E Gallery. The certificate weighed heavily in our decision to become members of RHG. Unfortunately, we were unable to redeem the certificate through no fault of our own. Apparently I.C.E. Gallery underwent a management change and was not honoring the certificate. We raised this issue with RHG (the company with which we signed the contract) who did nothing about it. The certificate has since expired but when I complained to RHG (before the expiry date), they promised me they would look into it as long as I kept paying my bi-annual fees. This was two years ago. I recently spoke with someone from member services at RHG and was told there was nothing they could do since the “offer” was from I.C.E. Gallery. (I entered into no agreement with ICE!). I am fed up with making payments on my membership fees especially when RHG fails to deliver on the promises they made during their presentation. (I could go on about the empty promises and what a SCAM RHG is, but I’ll save it for another day). Hoping you can help!

- Hello, we are going threw the same thing with Georgian manor. Just curious have you made any progress with them? My wife and I currently have a group of us all in the same boat taking a stand against this company. Let me know if your interested in joining our fight.

Hello there, Are you a victim of George Manor resort like me? I am contemplating on taking George Manor to court. All you have is not worth $500. I bought mine 3 years ago and I was told I could not cancel. I am contemplating on going to a small claims court to get out of this bad contract for 50 years think of the booking fees 30000 points is worth $300 only.
Imagine 20000 is worth $200.00 and when you call you pay booking fee of $ 50.00 to RCI and $200 dollar per room as booking fees. Better deals are on different vacation sites.
I am ashamed I got scammed to signing a contract.
George Manor and RCI is a scam. Does anyone know if there is any class action lawsuit going on against RHG and RCI in Canada? My lawyer asked if I can get 5 to 10 people we can proceed with a class action lawsuit /small claims court to get out of this fraudulent contract.
Currently I have 3 names and if you will like to be on the class action law suit to get out of George Manor scam contact me by email and I will give you the name of the lawyer.

- Hello All, I'm also a victim my husband and I bought a Test Drive for 5 years and it costs us $3150 including Admin. fees & HST. We did a payment arrangement of $99.69/month for 3 years.We stop paying due to credit card expired on 03/13. I received a call from Credit Bureau Collection on 06/13 stating I still owe $1561.90 I said that can't be. I demanded to receive an detail invoice but they forwarded me back to RHG & left several messages with no call back. During the time I was paying for it I tried to book a holiday with my family with several places, dates, & times either they were sold out or we didn't purchase enough points & in most cases it was 3 months advance as our salesperson told us that RHG or RCI brings the points down if last minute notice.The salesperson lied to us on several things.For one when we purchase this time share the resort was under construction back in August 2011 & as per Tripadvisor comments from people who stayed their it is still under construction. I never got the information I request until now June 19, 2015 & now I owe $2067.69.I've already paid them $2543.69 including interest so if I take the number of payments which is 19 * 99.69 = 1894.11 + deposit of $350 =2244.11 - 2800.00 = $205.89 Total balance I owe. However accordingly to the promissory note we are charged interest of 16.90%/yr, compounded monthly installments for 36 months.They misrepresented themselves as the salesperson didn't notify us that we could only stay a couple of days (due to the amount of points we are purchasing), only to simular status resorts like Manor Resort.He also told us there were resorts that were all inclusive which that was true. I tried to view the RCI Book but I felt rushed.I want to sue them so if anyone knows of a class action suit against them please email me [email protected]. TY!
