This company sent me an email stating that I had been "approved" for an $8000 loan with monthly payments that would be less than $200. I was intrigued. I did not believe this was real, but wanted to see what they said. My first clue that this was a scam was the fact that they contacted me via email. There was no physical address or official company phone number on this email. I spoke with a "account representative" who informed me that in order to receive my loan, I would need to come up with $800 to purchase loan insurance. In order for her to collect the money from me, I would need to go to Walmart, or some such place, and purchase something called a "green dot" card. I would then load the requested amount of $ on this card and call her back with a code.
Needless to say, I did not do this. But, I am sure that many, many people have and have lost their money!! This needs to stop!!!
