- I just got the same thing but the check was41,478.28. Whenever anyone gets a check payable to themselves and is instructed to send funds elsewhere--it's fraud at the very least! Why would a company bother to ask a 3rd party to send funds out when they could do it themselves? Maybe hire a shopper, but wire funds? Absolutely a red flag=don't fall for it!
