I have been a paying customer of Dish Net work for nearly seven years and my account with them is currently paid in full. A couple of days ago I noticed that one of my two receivers was not allowing me access to most of the channels that I have been receiving. I contacted Dish Network and they said to get my service restored I would need to provide them a county assessment of the property to prove that the two buildings with the receivers (which they installed and have been out to repair) are located on the same property. I do not believe it is my resposibility to correct their incompetant record keeping. Currently they have stopped providing the agreed upon and paid for service (is this a breach of contract?). What help can you offer? Thanks for your assistance. David Hart. (Personal Information Removed)

  • Why is your name posted, David?
Apparently, DISH thinks you are helping a neighbor with a subscription. I have had a receiver on my daughter's account for years. I take it to Florida and then back to her place all the time. Some people also take their box with them in their travel trailers - all over the country. That is OK. Just tell Dish that the other receiver is in a trailer and is travelling.
I believe that if you connect a telephone to your "remote" receiver, and it is your telephone number, they will stop bothering you. Then you can remove the phone connection. Satellite companies can query your box via the phone line, and if does not answer for a long time, they will give you a hard time.
