I was looking on Craig's List for a job when I came acrossed a listing. So I sent and email requesting their contact info so I can forward my resume. I received an email back stating, "We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Brennan Recruitment & Partners. After reviewing your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company.

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at http://workforbrennan.info or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is 516211.

Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.

I actually filled out their pre-interview screening. After completing that, the next page (http://www.brennan-recruitment.com/screen/verification4.php?id=518), which tells me they need to run a background check with the credit bureaus. "We will NOT receive any of your private credit history details or personal information. We simply receive your first and last name, and an "Ok" to proceed if there are no background discrepancies." So I clicked on the link, which took me to (https://credit.profinity.com/lp/11/index.asp?GUID=68DE9JG6J9DD&CID=102197178135251112186240207110&SID=2336&utm_expid=54827620-12). This page says nothing about a background check & once you register you are signing up for a credit monitoring and will be auto deducted $29.95 per month.

This is when I became very suspicious and started to research info on the web.
