Scheduled a seasonal checkup/maintenance for home heating and air.
The invoice was not filled out properly, nothing itemized not did the technician sign as lincensed. Payment was made by check.
Upon departure, the air system did not come on. I called the company, early AM on 17 AUG 12, I was informed that the maintenance technician would return my call shortly. I never received a call. I called United AIr Temp upon return to residence, I was informed that I would be placed on their list for service. At 10:00pm on 17 Aug 12, NO technician had called nor responded. Called company, office closed, but emergency number provided.
Called emergency number, approximately 30-45 minutes later, technician telephoned. I explained the issue. The tech stated that my residence was not on the service list.
Technician arrived at residence, checked the air system only to identify that the compassitor was blown. The tech stated that in order for him to repair, I would have to pay another $139.00. Upon opening the air system, the entire system was filthy, this was supposed to be cleaned with the seasonal check/maint. Photos were taken. An air compressor usually costs between $15 - $25 dollars. The company fired the compassitor & never completed the check/maint, then refused to take responsibility, never returned any phone calls and never sent technician during regular business hours. Total deceit, once the emergency tech was called, another fee was charged.
Resolution: Return of the emergency payment; receipt of correctly filled out invoice & completion of the check/maintenance by a lincensed technician.
