The Mortgage Lender+ agent Sara Jenkins emailed me on 08/01/2012 on the approval for a $30,000.00 personal loan.
This is when the nigtmare started. I needed this money for my business which is about to go under so I was desperate. I was told by Sara Jenkins that I would have to send a payment via Western Union in the amount of 1,520.12 plus Western Union fees which were $146.00, this was sent on 08/10/2012. This money was to cover 4 months of payments for the loan in case something happened and I couldn't pay. I also had to send a copy of my voided check,proof of income and signed contracts,insurance contract was optional so they said, so I didn't send that one. I was told by Sara that in 6 to 12 hours that the $30,000.00 would be deposited into my account. I waited for Sara to recieve the papers and I was informed by her that everything was in order and correct and that the money would be released into my account. I waited for hours kept checking my account no $30,000.00 deposited. I called her back no answer all day Sara didn't call back left numerous messages. Then the next day her so called Supervisor John Fulton answered I asked where is the $30,000.00 that was suppose to be deposited? his almost screaming at me reply: it was blocked my your creditors because of your credit and I never seen this before happen to any one in the seven years I have worked here. To secure the loan now and for it to be released to you,you have to pay the optional insurance fee which covers the 10 year term of the loan, to recieve the $30,000.00 via Western Union again, with the signed insurance contract. I was desperate to save my Restuarant, I asked him for a primossary note to insure me that the transactions that I was doing would be secured John Fulton sent the prommissary on 08/15/2012 saying that his company (The Mortgage Lender+)guarantees the loan after my payments so I sent in additional $1,836.98 plus $161.00 Western Union fee this was on 08/15/2012. Once John Fulton recieved the payment on 08/15/2012 he informed me that everything was on the up and up and that since I waited so long for the money he was doing and express deposit of 3 to 6 hours instead of the 6 to 12. John Fulton said he would call me to confirm when the $30,000.00 was sent, never got the call and no money deposited. I immediately called the next day 08/16/2012 John didn't answer the call all day or wasn't there. I also called Sara Jenkins she didn't answer either. I left numerous messages maybe 10 or more on there voice mails no reply from either one. I called customer service numerous times they don't answer but every once in awhile and they can't help with your problems there answer is you have to speak to your agent. I informed that the agents aren't picking up the phone. After two days (08/16/2012-08/18/2012) of checking my account and numerous voice mails I finally got in touch with someone named Peter Johnson which I don't believe is his real name. I told him the situation and asked where is John Fulton he is not answering his phone or calling me back and the $30,000.00 was not deposited into my bank account. Peter told me to call him back in 20 minutes so that he could look at my file, I knew once I hung up I would not be able to get him back on the phone, it took be and hour to get him back their service is terrible no one is every at the phone. I finally got him back and Peter informed me that I had to pay a closing fee of 812.00 for the money to be released I told him that John Fulton never informed me of this and the primmossary note does not state any closing fees or the contracts, so what are you talking about, Peter told me that there was a not on the file that there where several calls made to me and I didn't answer I told him that was a Lie I had the phone by me for two days with no calls from anyone in your company. I asked why do I have to pay a closing fee this is not a mortgage I didn't buy a house this is a personal loan no one pays a closing fee on a personal loan. I already paid a collecteral fee of $1,520.16 and a insurance fee of $1,836.98 plus Western Union fees of $146.00 and $161.00. I said I want to speak to John Fulton, Peter stated to me he's been on vacation I told Peter that is a lie I just spoke to him on Tuesday 08/15/2012, so that is where my money went. I told him I'm not paying anymore money and release the $30,000.00 deposit it into my account, Peter stated I can't do that you have to pay the closing fee. No one pays a closing fee on a personal loan? I told him I'm going to report this to the proper authorities to get my money. Peter said to me I don't want any trouble I'm going to refund all your money back but before I could ask him how? deposit into my bank account or by check he hung up the phone, I tried to call back but no one answered my calls eventually they took the phone off the hook. I tried to call today and I get this, this number is no longer in service and I tried the website it's gone. How can I get my money back? Can I sue them for puntative damages also?
