On Saturday August 20, 2011 I went to Brunswick Toytota with a letter saying I was preapproved for a car or truck. I went with my fiance who has a job because I do not at the time. BUT I have been paying my car payment for the past 4+ years on time. I explained to Darile at the dealership that I did not work but have made all my payments on time and that we wondered if there was anything we could do with my fiance's income. She then spoke with DAVID ALARCON who is the SPECIAL FINANCE DIRECTOR of the company and he told me that he would see what he could do. After sitting there for more than 3 hours and going back and forth with the bank, Darile told me CONGRATULATIONS, you got the truck. I have wanted this truck for 2 years (it was a 2010 GMC Terrain that they had on their lot). I was so excited. I have 3 children and we needed more room as a family because the car I had was a 2007 Pontiac G5.
David then told me that the truck was only in my name, not my fiance's name, and I said WOW then you are really good to have gotten me this truck with out a job. I asked what paperwork I needed to bring to him and he said nothing. He said the key was you made all your payments on time with your last car so the bank accepted that. I changed the truck over to my insurance, took my car off and left the dealership. He told me to come back the next day to sign the paperwork because he had to finalize things with the bank. I went back the next day and he said the paperwork was still not ready so he would call me. Then today August, 24, 2011, he called and told me that he told the bank that I worked for an old company I had previously worked for. I haven't worked there in 2 years but he told the bank that and wanted to know if I would call my old job to have my old job tell the bank that I still worked there. FRAUD!!!! I said why would you tell the bank that I worked there if YOU KNEW I DIDN'T?!?! He said no, no you have it all wrong, I just said I didn't know you worked there. I told him so basically you lied to me and now I have to bring this truck back to you. I said I am very angry about this and he said why would you be angry? I'm not angry that you have been putting miles on the truck. I SAID YOU TOLD ME CONGRATULATIONS THE TRUCK WAS MINE!!!
So just a little while ago I went and dropped off the truck and picked up my old car. He wouldn't even come out of his office to speak to me!
