Birchwood motor group (ford) Eastbourne have a scrappage scheme where they take your car and give you money towards buying a brand new car from them. The deal sound's very good but when we decided on the car we wanted it was not available and would not be available for a matter of month's.We were 'encouraged' to buy a car off the plot because the scraapage scheme would be finished by the time the car we wanted would be available.My partner and I went away to think about it, and during this time we received a number of voice message's reminding us we had a very limited time left to get the 'superb' deal.We eventually took the car off the lot and paid over £16k.
We purchased the car in June but the scrappage scheme did not end at the end of June as we were told....it did not end at the end of July...and we have also find out it will not end in August, it will 'end' at the end of September.
My mother-in-law went into the Birchwood motor group yesterday (15/08/2012) and enquired about a car that she wanted to buy with a 2013 plate on it,which comes out on the 20th September......surprise surprise the car she wanted was not available and would not be available for a number of week's but if she took a car off the lot she could claim the scrappage scheme that 'end's' in the MIDDLE of September.
I would like to hear from other people with similar experience's I have notified trading standard's and Ford UK about this terrible sale's policy of pressurised selling.

I understand how the scrappage scheme works.
I have notified Trading standards who are investigating (CS10574596)
I have emailed the T.V programme Watchdog and Which consumer magazine to question Birchwood's sales practises.
