Beware of Lovitts auto and truck center 1929 carolina beach rd wilmington nc because there buy here pay here program is a scam. We bought a vehicle from these people and paid 3500.00 down and them paid an extra 50.00 per month on each payment, but after 2 years had a financial problem and contacted miss Pam the finance manager for k & l auto finance( kenny lovitt auto finance)and ask for an extention and she said that was no problem,but the payment got 2 WEEKS behind and they sent this rerun looking guy from operation repo to sneek and get it at 5am.Then I took a day off work to resolve the matter and carried all my payment history and bank info to k&l(kenny lovitt who was one vacation?),but miss pam (who had been so sweet when we bought our 2 vehicles from her)must have an evil twin because she would no even look at my paperwork because she and her staff did not make mistakes,so then they demanded full payoff of the vehicle and would not even allow me to retrieve my personal belongings.I looked at the noorth carolina repo laws and according to the laws they have the right to treat people this way.But due to politices in nc this doesn't suprise me. Now as to how lovitts dispose of there repos.When a vehicle is repoed it has to be sold either by public or private saleand ifit sale for more than is owing the excess has to be returned to the owner or if it sales for less the owner is still responsible,therefore this is why k&l finance is the leanholder so they can sell the vehicle back to lovitts for almost nothing and judement the owner for the rest. They really have the auto sale buisness figured out, so please beware of this dealer.
