I purchased a "Bumper to Bumper" warranty "just like the original manufactures warrant" on my 2006 VW Passat in 2008. In May of 2012 the ESP warning light came on and I took the car to the VW dealer that I purchased it from. The diagnosis was broken cam chain tensioner due to broken bolt. Interstate required an inspection before repairs could begin. After three weeks of hassel the repairs started. Interstate paid $1500 of a $6500 bill. I have filed a complaint with the Atlanta BBB which was dismissed by Interstate.
