I was at the Ibis Hotel Airport in Paris and wanted to call somebody in Germany and didn't wanted to use the roomtelephone because it would be too expensive so I used the public phones at the hotel lobby. The phone would not work with the coins so I used my credit card, but before I was connected I used the dial option to know how much the call was going to cost me. The outrageous fee was going to be 13 Euros so I immediately hung up and tried again as I thought that it was a mistake. After the voice said again that the phone call was going to cost 13 euros per minute I hung up. Obviously as I was never connected I thought that there was no charge but yesterday I checked my account and found to charges of about 40 Euros (about 54 USD), imagine my surprise and anger. How can a Hotel have those kind of telephones?? How is such a ripoff even possible?? I definitely want my money back as a call wasn't even made!!
