Dear sir/madam,

I would like to make a complaint against www.ziinga.com. On Thursday 2nd August 2012 at 8am I logged onto the Gumtree website and listed in big graphics was "IPad3 95% off" so I clicked on the link. This took me to the Ziinga page, where there were many items listed with free bids, so seeing an ipod for my daughter I thought would be nice to see if I could win a bid, as I thought items were remaindered.

http://www.ziinga.com/uk

I won my bid, and they asked for my card details to pay for it, which without thinking I paid for the item, then alarm bells started ringing and normally I am very astute about giving any bank details. I googled the company name and there was a long list of people saying stay away from site as they tie you into a minimum contract of three months at £60 a month, which I cannot afford with my budget for a family of three.

So I contact the company within 5 minutes asking for them to cancel as I had made a mistake, their explanation was "it is all stated in the terms and conditions", and they would not budge and I had to pay a £35 cancellation charge for my stupidity.

All I ask is that these sites are clearly orchestrated so that people can stumble into free bids and easily pass their details, their should at least be a get out clause with no recourse within 24 hours or even seven days as people can genuinely make a mistake and not want to enter into a contract and you do feel duped. It is very frustrating because even when I rang the bank to stop any charges from this company they said there was nothing they could do as I had passed my bank details over to a company, but all I thought I was doing was paying for a product, they should at least advertise openly the monthly fees for the service so people don't make the same mistake as me.

I hope you can look into this company and their ethics as I believe they are contravening customers rights.. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Kind regards,

Tristram Minns.
