I ordered a engine, for a 1996 chevy S10 pickup, I was told they had one, that was tested, and a good engine, with 53000 miles, and it was for an S10 96 pickup. I recieved an engine from a cavalier, which is a front wheel drive car. It was a 2.2l same as the S10 engine, but would require an additional expense to me , to install this motor in the pickup, and after some research, I found according to the casting Number on the recieved block, that this motor was a 97. They, [the co.] assured me it would work, and said they would help with the cost, so being a mechanic for the last 40 years, I figured I would go ahead and install the engine, and here,s the problem. Wrong engine, right engine, is no longer the issue, when I tried to turn the engine over, it was frooze up, would not turn. So I called, and was told by Dina [owner] "that couldn't be, we turn these motors over 24 times, for our leak down test". She [Dina] said it must be a shipping problem, there was some shipping damage, but minor, and she would complain to the shipping co. I told her, that the shipping damage was not that severe, and it had nothing to do with the engine being frooze up, and that I wanted my money back. I had to ship it back, on my dime, and after several days, I was refunded $631, when the total due, was $1143.72, so amount owed me, is $512.72. The reason I say this, is that the co,s. warrenty states, right on their web site, that if part is wrong, or DEFECTIVE, 100% money back, including shipping both ways. Can't get much clearer than that, but they have no intention of honoring that warrenty. All I want is fair treatment, if they don't test their engines, which its quite obvious, that they don,t then they need to make good on their dishonesty.
