I am age 64, my wife is age 68. Neither one of us is very good with this buy stuff on line...I hate it, as you can never talk to a live person. We were advised by a doctor to have my wife set up a visit with a hernia specialist in NC...we live in Newtown, Pa. I went online and after much aggravation, managed to find two tickets to Charlotte via Delta....I went to Delta, but kept ending up on other sites, like Fire fox and Cheap Flights....finally confirmed flights for my wife and I for August 28....I did this the 3rd week of July. After consultation with other doctors, it was determined that the doctor in NC would not be appropriate since he does Lapoprocope surgery, and we found out that my wife's hernia is too big for that procedure, so we went to a doctor at U of PA who can operate and install a protective screen into her abdomen. When I called to cancel the air fare, I was told there are no refunds.....I even bought cancellation insurance through access America for $26.00, and they told me my reason was not covered, and they wouldn't pay either.....They said I could have a credit.....a credit? This is not a $50 sweater that I bought at Coles...this is $508. dollars....we do not fly, and will probably not ever use these tickets.....I can't even give them to my son, as they said they are not transferable!! What BS!!I feel like I am being robbed....this has to stop.....I hope you can do something for all the other people who are being robbed by Delta and God knows what other airlines....this is a disgrace.
