I was contacted on sun aug 5 by someone claming to work for the IRS and the fedreal bank. From a this number 202-580-8567 the man name was marc. He said that I owe the irs money and that i needed to pay them asap. Or it will go against my credit and they will hold my taxes for the up coming year. I was very scared and didnt know what to do. Im 29 with two children and one on the way very soon. I couldnt afford for that to happen. So the first time they told me to send 110 dollars to a charity and they will take care of the issue at hand. So i did somewhere in India. Not thinking notthing of it. The next day aug 6th i reviced another phone call from the same man stating that it was a mistake and i was entitled to a grant because i didnt make alot of money last yr. Now the first time they called these people had all of my information. My full name my mailing address my phone my bank information everything. So i said well what happens now. The 110 dollars that i sent was suppose to be it no they needed another 640 dollars to give me the grant. Knowing i didnt have that type of money i found it some how and sent that too. The money was to be wired transferd into my bank account that nite. So the next day still no money noe its august 7th and im going back and fourth with marc. Later that night i recived an phone call from a lady saying that the money is being processed now that number is 202-470-6781. Still no money. Today is aug 8th and i called back every number that rang my phone. And now they r telling me. to get the grant they want another 200 dollars. Or to get my money back i have to go to walmart and get a go cash card put a 100 dollars on there and they will fed ex my refund check to me. So i asked why do i have to give u more money to get my money back. the man started to yell at me and then he hung up the phone. Ive tried to called back to both numbers several times and now they have stoped answering the phones. Like they have caller id or something. Now i am out of over 700 dollars and dont know what to do. How will i get this money back to pay my rent for the following mo. Im so sad and hurt that i allowed this to happen and i feel really stupied. Written by Brandi from stl
