Purchased a 5-in-1 Steam Mop from Outlet.com.sg on 27 May 2012 and paid in full by credit card on same day. Fine print on offer indicates that redemption period is from 28 June 2012 to 28 July 2012. However, on 5 July, I received an email from them informing that there will be a delay due to "miscalculation of the production and delivery time by some of their merchants". For the item that I ordered, it was indicated that it will be ready for collection from 30 July 2012. When I visited the REdemption Centre at 36B Boat Quay on 2 Aug, it was closed, with a notice saying that they'll be closed till 7 Aug. On 7 Aug, liquidators have been appointed to take over. It appears that all these events are pre-planned by the owners of Outlet.com.sg to cheat online customers. Besides online consumers, merchants were also scammed and even staff was not paid their salary.
