I had an hotmail account and received an email from a friend who has had alot of bad luck. The email said your friend sends you a very private email. Thinking something was wrong with my friend (I wont name her) I tried to open the email and it spread a virus right through my hotmail account. When I tried to get into the account it said "looks like someone is using your account". I saw my friend in the shops and she said she had received the same email from another friend. Ofcourse it went through her contacts where I am. I clicked on Hotmail help on the internet and a man called Prashant rang me saying he could help. Half way through the procedure which tooks ages, he asked me for $218. I said I wouldn't pay it until the computer was fixed and my email account restored. He set up a new hotmail account which receives emails but when I went to send an email it can up with the Postmaster cannot send this email. I phoned the number Prashant gave me which is; 1800 119 293 but ofcourse all I heard was technical support and the phone clicked off. Ive lost my $218 and my computer is not fixed. Prashant gave me his name and number which is useless. Im so angry with myself to be taken in by dishonest people. PLEASE can you help me. Caroline
