Caller contacts small business saying they are the "Yellow Pages" - easy to miss the word, "network" in their name. They ask authorization for "your ad" -- once consented to, they ask for $499.95. Then they don't cash the check you mail and their second rep tells you the account is now in collections and the new cost is $629 with late fees. A total scam. We were stupid and got taken.

  • I had the same issue with the Public Yellow Pages. I told the operator I hope you sleep good at night you f@#king scam artist. He asked me what has changed from 5 minutes ago when I told him to call corporate and that they would pay the bill. I told him I found them on scambook.com and we wouldn't be paying the bill. after cussing at him for three minutes he tried to lower the bill to $100.00 but I asked him how he sleeps at night and feeds him kids with the scammed money. He hung up on me and I haven't heard anything from collections.
