I am so sorry to see you Tracey were caught up by Mark's charm & words of affection as well,to gain your trust & belief that you were the love of his life.Iv just opened my eyes to the reality of being scammed as much as I hoped I wasn't,but things weren't making sense of a situation he was in while oversea's on a business trip for a job offer,yes as a construction engineer of roads & bridges in Nigeria.Its a long story too much too put into words on here but none the less to cut a long story short,I feel so embarrassed & humiliated that I was lead to believe he was the perfect man of my dreams.
Im from Sydney & he was from Melbourne Australia, well that's what he told me.We met on a website "Dating Over Forties" on 23/06/12 & had been in contact from that day to now,we talk on the phone everyday, emailing & online chatting everyday as well.On the 2nd day he arrived in Nigeria he was mugged & everything money & all stolen,a hotel manager where he was residing has been offering him assistance until I send money to help get his work permit then the Arabs who were giving him the contract will give him his 1st upfront check of 350,000GBP,at 1st I didn't believe that sort of money but he was so adamant & persuasive I thought ok maybe he's telling the truth.So that was the start of monies being sent abroad.Then after a few days another problem would arise then it just escalated from one to the other,then everything was good & our troubles would be over & he'll be on his way home. He was supposed to be on a flight coming home to me in Sydney departing on 02/08/12 that I paid for which he missed. I insisted on paying for the ticket here but he wanted me to send funds to him so he'd have money to buy food & other things while travelling.When I didn't hear from him before his boarding time,I knew something wrong was going down & sure enough,the next day he rang me crying that officials wouldn't let him fly out because he needed $1500GBP for Basic Travelling Allowance to leave Nigeria.I became suspicious & thats when I started to look into romance scammers. He doesn't know Iv been researching stuff on him for the past couple of days.Starting from IPs which to my surprise were set up in Hovedstaden,Copenhagen,Denmark for his email address & mine which he did also for me when we first met & started IM through Yahoo MSGR, phone numbers one is a local Australian mobile which is diverted or on roaming so it seems like he was in Australia before he travelled & the Nigerian ph# I talk to him since he's been in Nigeria.
He claims he is a widower his wife passed away 1 & 1/2yrs ago of Cancer they moved from California to Perth 2yrs ago then she passed.He then moved to Melbourne 3months ago,they had no children. He was born in America his mum was Australian the reason why they came to Aussie was to search his mums roots.He was orphaned from birth in & out of foster homes to the age of 3yrs & adopted at the age of 5yrs by his Spanish foster parents & brought up in Spain. Everything you have been through from the flowers within the week of meeting & all the lovely emails phone calls etc, Iv had & heard them all,to transferring money to "Tripple Art Gallery Account".Yes i later found out the account didn't exist so funds were sent by WU to a ERIC KENNETH the brother of the hotel manager where he has been staying in Nigeria but funds would be transferred straight to hotel manager to pass onto Mark.The pickup address for funds for "HM brother" is 118 High St, North Eastham, London E6 2HX. The funds Iv sent over the peiod of time of meeting Mark is an amount of $5,300AUD / $5,598USD & I highly doubt that I'm going to see any of it.If there's any chance of getting it all back well then I'll be cheering to High Heaven,I am so pissed off at myself for being so naive & gullible.I think every woman has that glimmer of hope in them that they will find their prince charming one day!!
Photo's are so deceiving their faces have that look of one that will protect you from the hurts of the world but turn out to being your worst nightmare!!! What a C##T!!!

In a way Im glad to see that someone has posted a complaint about him(Mark) because now I can relax & know what Im dealing with here & can have closure on the "IF" he is telling the truth that all these bad things have happened to him,then there was the doubt as well that had me lingering onto the hopes.So thank you Tracey for coming forward & putting your post on here for us to join you & make a stand to stop him from scamming more women,I hope you will truly find your dream man, best of luck to you :)
& I hope other women out there don't get caught out like we have,or if they have already met him,hopefully they will catch onto his schemes. This is the 1st man Iv been in contact with on these dating sites & was oblivious to this sort of thing happening to anyone not only to women but men also.
Im not a person that curses or thinks ill of people but in the back of my mind,I hope everything he has done to others will come back & bite him in the arse big time!!! Hopefully very soon...
And I say that in the nicest possible way because believe you me I have a MOUTHFUL that is ready to let loose right now...

I hope those that are reading this whether they're being scammed by Mark or someone else will take heed to the cons on those dating sites.I have so far spotted & scared 3 away since seeing the signs that Iv faced with Mark. Its a shame that the sites don't do thorough checks on people before allowing them access, to stop this BULLSHIT... I suppose they don't give a shit because they're getting money for memberships anyway.

Be strong ladies we'll take them to the cleaners sooner or later, hopefully very soon.
