Hello,

I got 10 Pentium M dell laptops . Below are the things needed to be done one on each laptops.

1 Format Hard Drive
2 Install Win Xp with Service Pack 3
3 Microsoft Office Package
4 AVG Virus Software (Free Lifetime Updates)
5 Adobe Acrobat
6 Laptop Cleaning of the keyboard, screen and other case.
7 Diagnostics of the entire system after to check hard, cdsrom, floppy,
etc. Get back to me with your total cost for the services of 10 Laptops. I will pay you with a certified check .

I await your urgent response so that i can make Moving arrangements and payment as soon as possible....

Thanks for the reply. I am okay with the price i have all the necessary software needed for the service installations.... I will instruct my secretary to prepare a check for you on your name and address .Do send me your full name and address and your phone number so as to prepare the check and shipping of the laptops to your address. i have a reliable shipper that will pickup the laptops when you are done with it and am giving you extra $50 for your running around. I am looking forward to hear from you,so we can have payment and shipping asap.

    Asked him for more information and he wouldn't give it. Just kept saying stuff like:

    I will pay you with a certified check

    And:

    I have all the necessary software CD with the keys needed for the service installations, I will provide the CD/DVD Software to install Win XP with Service Pack . Get back with your last price so that i can check with other and know who will handle it for me...OK?????

    My guess is he wants some work done and will probably not pay, since you have no way to contact him, your out of your time, and he's got some fixed laptops.

  • Well let me tell you that yes he did pay but like 2400 more than the quoted price I gave him. I went to the bank and told straight up the whole story and long and behold the check was fake and now he is harrassing me that he wants to contact the FBI. When I make it home I will report him to the police cause people like him get gullible people and get them in trouble. It happened to me like 6 years ago but it was fake money orders instead. Well hope this helps you out.

  • this Guy just contacted me, exact same e-mails. I stupidly sent him my name and address, and began to think something was fishy.
    so I googled it and this page came up, Low and behold, same E-mails. I immediately told him i couldn't "fill his order".
    I would like to ask others that fell victim if they ever received the laptops, and weather they came before or after the fake check. I need to know as much information as possible because i am reporting this guy to my local police department.

  • I have also been contacted by this person after posting in ad for repair services on laptop computers via craigslist. I appreciate the people that took the time to notify the public of this nuisance.

  • just got the check in from this guy today had a feeling its was fake when it was way more to ship them then it would to repair so i started looking around on line and this site came up with same guy and exact same emails glad i saw this before i took it to the bank
