Hi,

I am sure I am a victim of scammers and the scammers are still contacting me asking for more money.

On 7/27/2012, I was browsing a pet website, Oodle Market, in hopes to purchase a yorkie puppy when I saw an ad listed for "Beautiful Tiny Tea-Cup Yorkie Puppies | $300". I entered the website and replied to the seller that I am interested in purchasing the puppy. The next day the seller replied to my-email that the puppies are still available to any loving family with pictures of two puppies attached to the e-mail. The seller also asked a series of questions about me to make everything look legitimate. I replied to her e-mail with some info about myself and the very next day she asked for a payment of $300 in order to proceed so she can buy a crate and ship out the puppies to me (she said she is located in Texas) and asked me to make a payment through Western Union with just her name, city and phone number. I made the payment the next day, she picked up the money and promised that she will ship out the puppies on the next day through Delta airline.

On 7/30/12, I received more e-mails of her saying that everything has been set, but in order to ship out live animals through an airline, a pet insurance is required to protect the puppies from any possible dangers. The insurance will cost $560 and is refundable by the insurance company once the puppies are delivered to my address. She provided a series of the insurance policies for me to look at and asked for the payment of $560 through Western Union again. I made the payment through Western Union on the same day believing that the non-existent pets really needed an insurance. The seller picked up the money once again and said that she will now proceed and notify me for further info on the flight and when the puppies take off on that night.

On 7/31/12 morning, I received an e-mail from the seller that "some thing very serious which needs your attention.
Staffs from the airline said that the importation of puppies into WA is very controlled due to the virus. Thus all pets being shipped into WA must be administered the 3 series of vaccines against the
disease/virus.That doesn't mean the puppies are sick but just a
regulation posted by your constitution.
If a dog is shipped without these vaccines administer, the
puppies will be quarantine for 6 months and a charge of $1000 will be place at the time of receiving the puppies from the quarantine. The airport vet checking dept is charging $100 for one
vaccine and each bird have to be administered three vaccines. So that will make a total of $600 needed for the 2 puppies." She explained that she's very weary about this transaction and asked me to make the payment so that she can proceed and end this transaction.

I was not aware of the scam until I made the $560 payment to the seller and I am still in contact with the seller. I need help on what I need to do in order to catch the seller.

  • its funny you should post this. i was going to get two puppies from a lady but needed to send her money so i could get them and it turns out i was sending the money to you. same name as yours and same place. and now they are saying i need to pay 350.00 dollars so i can get insurance on them. but I'm not going to do that so what i would like to know is why i sent money to you and here you are saying you got scammed. I'm not buying it.

  • Omg! Wow! I was actually making a deal with this so-called Christian God-fearing person. I am disgusted with these people! How dare this person use the Lords name in vain and commit to such an act of fraud. Disgusting! Karen, I am actually in contact with this so Vanessa Orr too, I am also from Washington and her ad actually said Lynwood but when we were emailing back and forth she said she was in Fort Hood (red flag #1). Her name that she used in our emails was Tracy. After I answered questions she requested, she went straight forward to payments, nothing about registration, health, vaccination, or anything but this time her so-called paperwork had Vanessa Orr on it and I emailed her, I thought your name was Tracy and she replied That's my daughter name (red flag #2). I asked her how do I know if this is legit? She gave me this spill about being raised in Christian God-fearing family and will never indulge in such devilish act. Now we know the b$*%h is a freakin liar! She kept pushing for me to make payments and refuse to answer my questions and concerns. I asked her to take another pix of Kim (a white Siberian husky puppy) with a piece of paper with my name on it And she just sent me the same pix of the two puppies. Something told me to google Vanessa Orr in Fort Hood TX and sure enough your post was the first result and I immediately knew I was being scammed. Luckily found your post on time before making a transaction with this jerk. Idk how you can find her? How have you sent her money? Did you also do a security question and answer? Maybe you can work with WU and capture the perpetrator.

  • I was just having an email conversation with this same Vannessa Orr. I have been in an email back and forth this week about French Bulldogs. My first Red Flag was that the grammar was horrible. "Okay" I thought, it is someone with broken English. Then the email changed. The first email reply was from a Tracy.Bong and then the second email from Vanessa. She/He skipped right to the chase saying, "ok great we will ship out the dog and you will have him by tomorrow morning" .....Woah..Wait a minute? Slow down, I said to myself. I then Googled the name Vanessa Orr and found this page...I asked several times for their phone number as I do not feel comfortable doing any sort of transaction solely over email...They would not give me a phone number no matter how many times I asked. Scammer!!! I knew it!!!

  • I have also been involved with this person but with a slight deviation. Firstly I responded to an ad on oodle listed under the name of Teresa B. I was looking at rescuing a Bengal kitten. I got an email telling me to text this number - 305-249-1891 and email address of [email protected]. I got an email asking me for some information and was told I would only need to pay for the flight from Florida to Washington since I seemed a decent enough person and appeared to have the cats interest at heart etc. I dealt with a man using the name Ladewig Madoc who appeared to be French and his written English was pretty bad. After approving me for rehoming the Bengal he explained that I needed to send money via Western Union to his daughter Vanessa Orr who was at school in Killeen Texas. I asked him to call and explain things in more detail. He did call me but sounded somewhat younger than the gentleman featured in the cat photo's I was sent. I was nervous to begin with but this raised another red flag and my wife did a background search on Vanessa Orr which led to this site. Fortunately for me I didn't part with any cash but I am posting this so if you see anything that contains these names/numbers or info you know it is a scam and NOT to do business of any kind with them.

  • same no good lady still playing the same games with these pets but she's getting a little bit smarter by first offering that u could come pic up whatever cat/dog she's trying to sale u, then she gives the spill of being a christian and u can trust her and she cant believe people do those types of things but she's been doing it for a couple years now. She even send u pics of someone else with there dog smh. im glad i would never send anyone any type of money, i only deal personally hand-to-hand transactions, because other wise this no good evil troll would've have gotten me for $250. If not for this website i would've stil believed this was a good legit woman...
