Just as everyone else who has complained about them, I was suddenly showing this electronic check debit in my checking account for $30. I was already low, and this caused me to be $2 overdrawn, so I was charged a $38 overdraft fee! My first ever in almost 20 yrs of having checking accts. I have no clue who these people are or how they keep getting away with this! I did not apply for any sort of loan, card, grant, NOTHING! When I explained this to the lady who answered at the phone number listed for them on the virtual check copy from my bank, (which by the way, is always the same lady I've since found when calling back several times) her response was that I was approved for a loan and that they would give me a $100 gas card to offset the $30 charge! And that was after telling her SEVERAL times that I had no interest in any loan because I DO NOT HAVE A JOB!! Really?? When I told her I was alerting all proper authorities, she finally said my money would be refunded. Of course I'll be eating the $38 O/D charge! She gave me a refund confirmation number and said it would take 2-3 business days to show up in my acct. Today is day 5. I just called, and now she is saying within 15 days! Wow. I am so furious! I finally just got everything set up with this acct - direct deposit, auto bill pay on several bills, etc. Now it looks like I'm going to have to close it and open a new one! I mean, how the !@$* does someone just get to take money out without my authorizing it?! I know my mother's acct #, but I can't just take money outta her acct! (Inappropriate Content Removed)
