received a call from a number that listed as unknow stating that i had been picked due to my tax information to receive a check for 7500 and that i would need to call a additional number which is 14252967936 with a confirmation code which is LK013 for a government grant when i called the second number that had requested a deposit of 300 to receive the check from the government. at this point due to the fact that i dont know of any govt agency that requires a deposit to receive money i told the person that i was speaking with that i would research there company and verify that they are legit. her response in return was due your research and once you realize that we are legit call us back and make arrangements. to follow up on this i researched the number on the internet and 12 complaints to date have been made. totaling 8600 in damages.
here is what i have gathers they request the deposit, state that you will receive in minutes when you call back they tell you to pay the taxes on the money and that it will all be refunded to you. so far no one has seen the check.
PLEASE BEWARE FRAUD..
