My husband was contacted by this company on June 20, 2012, and was told there was a serious problem with our computer and that it was in danger of crashing. My husband knows very little about computers and after a lengthly conversation with a representative, he signed up for a 3-yr. contract for $199. After that, the representative continued to tell him that our computer was in danger and that he should sign up for a lifetime contract. Now I've found that I was changed the $199 on June 20 (3-yr) and then again on June 22 for a lifetime contract. The $199 charge was credited to Paymentgatewaynias.com, and the $269 was credited to Inspira Media SoBLR, I have no idea who either of these companies are, but have contacted Paymentgatewaynias regarding canceling this contract. All I got back was a lot of doubletalk about how they did not charge me the $269. I am still talking to them. This is a SCAM and obviously they are making a lot of money from threat and fear tactics to unsuspecting computer users. Is there anything you can do about this? I have invoice numbers, contact numbers, copies of the letter I e-mailed Paymentgatewaynias. If you need any of these, let me know. Their technical Dept. Helpline No. 205-419-8861, and 205-419-8615. One of the reference numbers I received was 9146743768, with an Transaction Id: 3535491069375330696.
