I went to money gram on 07/10/12 and wired 2253.00 through money gram. A ccording to the email that I had received from Jack Salstone who had a title after his name working in the military. In his email it stated that they were leaving to Afghanistan on 07/20/12. since these were our men and woman I trusted the email and supported our troops. Name used salstone,jack p ctr usaf afgsc afgsc/mf1. His email address is [email protected]. craigslist email address is [email protected]. This has gone on for about 1wk and 2days now. I feel awful as it has taken away financially from us and that money is used for food and to pay our bills especially the way this economy is going. I hope those scam artist get prosecuted to the fullest extent. We should be able to track them down.

- I was just recently a victim of this same scam. I money grame the same amount of $2253.00 to the same person. Stating he was deploying to afganistan on 7/25/2012. I was even emailed a confirmation from a very convincing eBay motors. I contacted eBay n they have no record of this item. I don't know what steps to take to get my money back. My husband is military so I trusted the seller as well.

- I was just as of today about to wire this person the money for my daughters FIRST car, luckily people told me to investigate and the first thing that popped up was this. The price for the car was the same as above, everything Mr. Datood stated above is in the emails I also recieved. I am very hurt and embarrassed that I almost feel for this. I feel the authorities need this info and if the people above need the info I got I will do whatever to the extent to help. I am also reporting him to STolen Valor for claiming to be in the service as my husband can clearly locate him if he is an actual person or impersonation one. He even sent me the VIN number on the vehicle. Please contact me if we can do something about this.

- I also want to thank everyone who post this fraud. I got the same email and I am currently communicating with the guy now via email. I told him to send me a copy of his drivers license. I also found the car on Craigslist but after I could not find it on eBay I started looking him up. I looked on Facebook and couldn't find him and I couldn't Google him. Most military people you can find just by searching yahoo or Google their names. Its been about 30 minutes now and he has not emailed me back since I ask him to send me a copy of his military or civilian drivers license.
