I work on a time and materials basis. I do not and have never agreed to a price before the work; sprinklers are below the ground and there is no way to tell how long or how much a job will take before-hand. The invoice reflects the exact amount of time that we were on the property, nothing more, nothing less.

As for accusations of scamming, we were on this man's property in the hot Texas sun for 12 hours and he refused to pay for the repairs. It is now six months later and we have yet to receive any payments from him. -
