This individual is trying to scam people. Alex Cone (if that is his real name) is doing what many are trying to, scam people on craigslist. I posted my services for simple computer repair on the site. Alex responded, suggesting that repair was needed to a lot of computers. He said that he was located far from where I am located, and that he would first cut a check, and that once I received the check, that I was to use a portion of the funds to pay for shipping and to pay his secretary. What happens is, when you receive the check, you deposit it to your bank, and it sits to be verified, this could take up to a month. In the meantime of the process of the check, you are to send money to his place, and after you have done so, the check he had given you is found as a bad check. You have sent him money and will have to pay the bad check fee that he will not pay. You will of been scamed. I am receiving a lot of these responses to my ad for services and so I know not to follow through with them. This could happen for any services you are posting on CL to provide, keep an eye out for these clues, and you will not be dupped. If you have any doubts, do not respond, for your bad feeling may just be correct, and it is not worth being tricked. God Bless.

There are thousands of choices but very few are trustworthy and effective...I have 5Pentium M HP laptops they are all located in Texas, Below is a list of work needed to be done on each PC.
1 Format Hard Drive
2 Instal Win Xp with Service Pack 2
3 Microsoft Office Package
4 AVG Virus Software (Free Lifetime Updates)
5 Adobe Acrobat
6 Laptop Cleaning of the keyboard, screen and other case.
7 Diagnostics of the entire system after to check hard, cdrom, floppy, etc.

i recieved a check written on greenlight financial service general opperating account for 2500 thismorning.. im going to turn into authorities.. if you look online there has been a rash of scams involving these checks. problem is.. they are on a business account thru citibank.. called the bank they will do nothing but confirm the account number and the company.. not whether the account is open and active -
