Dwayne Omarr was working security to a respected Bishop in los angeles and talked a bunch of artists in the church to do a gospel compulation album. He asked to borrow $4500 from me for studio time because his wife was having a baby. He tried to get us out of our church, as he was teaching bible studies at his house. (Of course, trying to get tithes & offerings and when i refused to do so, he then got "Ike" on me and a much older lady, putting a curse on us, and threatening us.) I was very intimidated and actually was really scared for awhile. I know he got money from other artists as well. I hear he did get preproduction money from a back east music production company. Then had a release record party at a celebrity house with none of us there. His excuse was the artists are on tour. When Cylo, a rapper on the project showed up unannounced, upset this was happening, security wouldn't let him in. The 4 of us he scammed from church, we never reported him because he was a brother in Christ and we left it up to the Lord. We couldn't believe it! And we were too embarrassed to let our Bishop know what happened. It was a long time ago, so the year might be off. But his wife Katrina was 8 months pregnant and her favorite Psalm is 119. So sad. Now he cons people all over with bogus companies and sells cd's on cd baby. Oh, he also sold our cd, with our pictures, and our songs on cdbaby and we never saw any of the money. the $4500 i lent him was rent money and saved money. I lost my apt, and my car. and my faith for a minute. I do believe in the justice system in this beautiful America, and in my Almighty God.
