I received a call from a person claiming to be an employee of an online company called support2fix.com. He claimed that their company was Microsoft certified and convinced me that my computer was filled with hacking and malicious software which I had not known about by revealing to me various details that only a computer specialist would know about such as my CLSID number. He then convinced me to buy a protection software worth 125 GBP that would be valid for 5 years. Unknowingly I paid for this software and a third party called a TECHNICIAN started to make various changes on my computer. Although a few performances changes have occurred, none of them damaging for the moment, I did some researching the next morning and found that many people had received similar calls and have concluded that this person is a scammer. Is there anything that can be done. I am new to this country and don't want to be in any trouble.
Sincerely,
John Daniel Devarajan ([email protected])
