Sign up page looks like they are giving you 3 free bids and $60. It even says where do you want us to send your items. Deceptiveness makes it look like you are being "given" an introductory package for joining rather than paying for one. Then lower ( about 2 sections down) on the bottom of the sign up page is credit card info that looks unrelated to the $60 and 3 free bids at the top of the page. Since bids are bought the $60 bids were seen to me like an offer that I could purchase it I wanted to buy bids after I used the free ones. Other sites like Ebay require credit card registration without and charges and Quibids credit card info at the bottom of the page has similar format. It should be clear that you will be charged $60 to open an account and bid. Makes no sense though since I was given 3 bids. I recieved 3 free bids to start and used a promo code for additional free bids. I did not purchase any bids. There is a place within the site to buy bids. I looked around at orders to see if there were any orders for bids and there were no orders for bids. So I used my free bids (or what I thought were free bids). It is stated no where that you must pay for bids to start especially since I was given 3 even before the promo code.

I used the bids and won a $10 gift card and it cost be $60???Unauthorized $60 dollars on my bank account.

I want a refund!!

  • Hello Quibids Support. I submitted an email yesterday, 2 of them but this system got a faster response.

Regarding sign up. You say "Creating an account is free". A credit card is required to sign up and is on the sign up page at the bottom before you can submit your information. If "creating an account is free" then it should be shown as an option not listed among the requirements for joining the site. On the left side of the sign up page, it says you can buy bids at 0.60 per bid this misled me into thinking that I could choose to buy them after I used my free bids.

You compare yourself to Ebay and Ebay has a sign up process with a credit card and they don't charge you when you sign up. This is optional depending on if you want to purchase something. You actively purchase. They ask you if you understand that you are purchasing. You agree and buy your item. When you compare your company to Ebay you put people in mind of the processes and that they are similar when they are not.

You give 3 free bids with no clear indications that the person is purchasing bids. The 3 bids seem to be for the new user to try. What is the point of 3 free bids to try if you must purchase anyway.

I used a promo code that allowed me to enter the system and I played on what I thought were free credits so, no there are no credits to refund. There is no evidence in your system for a consumer like me to see that they purchased credits after the initial sign in screen.

I checked before I started to play to make sure I had not "purchased" anything and nothing showed in the purchased credits part of your system, so with to record of my having bought anything I used what seemed to be free promotional credits.
