On thursday about 430pm my husband and i and my younger son were headed down the blackhorsepike in Mayslanding New Jersey. as we were traveling we seen this disshoveled person with no shoes on who seemed to be heavily intoxcated staggering in and out of the traffic as he was walking. as i passed by on passing lane i realized it was my 21 year old son.i pulled over and got him. he wanted to go back to palace outfitters where he had been kayaking . you see he got in a fight with one of his friends all 6 had been drinking long island iceteas while kayaking got really drunk on the river and began to physically and verbally fight with one another . as a concerned parent went to the owner and operator of this business and asked her not to let my son leave in his car. she was screaming and wailing her arms in the air, saying she doesnt have time for this. i told her he was drunk and jus got in a fight and he was waiting for his friends to come back cause he wanted to make up. you see my son left the river drunk got lost wonder to the blackhorse pike and almost got hit severeal times. he not only risked his own life but the life of others driving. the owner did not care. i started to leave and came back unsettled i wanted hes keys. thats when we verbally got i nto a arguement i felt she sells the patrons liqour, beer and off they send them . i told her i found him walking drunk down the road and could of been killed and i dfidnt even no it was my son because he was so i ntoxicated, dishoveveled and dirty from falling all over the place. she said thry are over 18 their adults isaid their not acting like it she screamed their my kids . whicch 1 was but not the issue she served them the alcohol sold them the kayak and sent them all on their way on a 4 hour ride down the river and just turned a blind eye to it with no regard to their safety. i know there are laws to this please check and reenforse before someone gets hurt. i thought she was a pilar of the community as a owner there for 28 years ive known her 26 years.
