I made an order through a Yahoo stores website. The seller was Portable-techs.com; they wanted payment through greendot paypak (which I had never heard of, but they gave instructions which are included in the 1st copied below (#1).

When I got no response, I called at least 7 times and left messages at their customer support number (916-242-8693). I also emailed their customer care email ([email protected]) and got no answer. (#2 below)

This site is a complete scam. I reported them to Greendot paypak and am going to report them to Yahoo stores as soon as I figure out how to do that. (By the way, I will never order from a yahoo store again.)

No response from calls, no response from email, so this is one big scam by Portable-techs.com

Learn from my mistake: do not order from a Yahoo store site, and never pay with a Greendot Paypack.

How to make payment for your Order:

Make payment for your order, using GreenDot payment service. To make payment for your order you need to purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak at a retail location near you (GreenDot is available at major retailers nationwide, including: WalMart, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Longs Drugs, Kroger, Ralphs, 7-Eleven, Meijer, Radio Shack, Hess Gas Station and more)

2. Purchase a GreenDot MoneyPak in the prepaid section of the store for the exact amount of your order. Example: If you purchase a Apple IPod Nano 16gb, then you will buy a MoneyPak card for $99.99

Note: Be sure to pick up the "GreenDot MoneyPak" NOT the GreenDot Visa Or Mastercard, Look for the GreenDot card that has MoneyPak written on it.

3. After you have purchase the MoneyPak, reply to this email with the MoneyPak Activation Numbers (found on the back of the packaging or receipt) to make payment for your order.


After we have receive your payment your order will be ship out the next Business day via UPS 3-5 days Free! and you will receive email confirmation with UPS tracking number.

I paid for the following order on July 1, 2012. I have heard nothing from you all week.Your web site says 24 to 48 hour turnaround. I have called and left numerous messages and yet have had no correspondence from you whatsoever. I thought perhaps maybe I did something incorrectly since I have never used the greendot money pack before, but I can’t even get your support to answer to find out what might possibly be wrong. Your customer care number never seems to be available even though I called during the published calling times. Why have I not heard from you on this order? Why is your customer care never available even though I called during the hours published on your web site? Please notify me as to when and how you are fulfilling my order. If you continue to be unresponsive, you will force me to reporting actions.
