A young man who was very polite and seemed nice knocked on my door stating he was selling magazines for a competition that would earn him points towards a college fund. I agreed to purchase a kids magazine and donate to Ronald McDonalds House. He told me the cost was 30.00 and I wrote him a check for 30.00 though he tried to ask for cash. Later after he left I looked at the receipt and he charged me 60.00. I called the bank the next day and stopped the check. I can't believe I fell for this scam. You can't trust anyone these days.
