They renewed my virus protection and charged $65.05 to my credit card without my permission. Now I have to call them and try to resolve this unauthorized charge and if I cannot get my money back, I'll have to accept my misfortune. I will cancel my credit card afterwards.

  • Hi,

This is Greg Davis from the Webroot team. I wanted to apologize for your frustrating experience. It sounds like you are asking about why you were charged for auto-renewal. While refunds can only be processed for up to 70 days after the purchase, I was hoping I could shed some light on our auto-renewal policy so this doesn't happen for customers in the future. We have a Webroot Community forum and one of the moderators just posted a Knowledge Base article on our auto-renewal policy that is a very useful tool for customers who do not wish to auto-renew their Webroot Subscriptions. Here is our forum website: http://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/How-to-stop-automatic-renewal-for-Webroot-subscriptions/ta-p/13280

Also, to contact Webroot technical support, customers can call 1-866-612-4227 Monday-Friday 7AM-6PM MST (Mountain Standard Time). Alternatively, they can always open a support ticket (24/7) using the following site: https://detail.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
