i LIVE IN EDINBURGH SCOTLAND YESTERDAY THE 28TH I RECIEVED A CALL FROM AN INDIAN SOUNDING MAN SAYING HE WAS FROM MISCROSOFT AND THAY THEY HAD FOUND MANY PROBLEMS WITH MY COMPUTER AND THAT IT WAS ABOUT TO CRASH, I QUESTIONED HIM FOR A WHILE BUT HE WAS SO CONVINCING, EVEN SAYING HE WAS IN WASHINGTON, HE HAD FULL CONTROL OVER MY COMPUTER AND THEN TOLD ME THERE WERE 84 PROBLEMS AND THAT I NEEDED A LICENSE FOR THE 10 YRS AND SECURITY FOR ANY VIRUS, I FOOLISHLY AGREED TO PAY THE £70 WHICH HE THEN CONVERTED TO $71.30 Canadian dollars I ASKED WHY AND I WAS GIVEN THAT IT HAD TO BE IN CANADAIN DOLLARS, BY THIS TIME THE CASH HAD GONE FDROM MY ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR THIS SCAM, I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY BANK TO CANCEL MY CARD AND THE MONEY HAD BEEN TAKEN. CARD CANCELLED TILL NEW ONE ISSUED
I CANNOT BELIVE I FELL FOR THIS SCAM, NEVER BEFORE HAVE I DONE THIS, MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS (Personal Information Removed) this is all the info i will give out now, i plan to call Microsoft today when they open to tell them. so it doesnt happen to anyone else.
