Please accept the information below as a formal complaint against this company and person. They are really scamming people. His name is George Canady and his phone number is 310-985-0512.

I saw an ad on craigslist for an ipad 2 for $250 with the phone number.above. i texted the number and george called me back and told me to go onto www.attorneyvideoassist.com and order. He said they had 60 black and 60 white ipads from a bankruptcy liquidation sale. He said that he actually was a producer on set in beverly hills, ca., that his partner handled all of the surplus merchandise sales. I went to the website and ordered the ipad 2 for $250 paid by mastercard debit card. The shipment never arrived. I would text and call almost every day when I noticed that a lot of time was going by with no delivery. He told me things like, it's been shipped, shipped to wrong address, they are shipping another one, it's on the way, his partner handles this department. I have a friend who works for HUD and lives in california. I offered to let him meet and pick up the item and ship it to me. He stated that he was a producer working on set and that security would not allow that or get real suspicious. that's when i knew i had been taken.I have all of the back and forth text messages. He talked to my husband and my co-worker witnessed one of the conversations because her boyfriend is the friend that works for HUD and lives in California who was going to pick it up for me. George is the person I always talked to. Sometimes a lady would answer his phone for him. I got to the point when we actually cursed me on out calling me names on the text messages. He finally stated that his partner's son who lives in charleston would bring one to me, calling me or my husband when they were on the way. No one ever showed up. I requested a refund and actually sent him an invoice via paypal so that he can just refund. no response. Their website is still up and the items that they supposedly sell or on the "surplus equipment" page. George stated that he could sell me a lot of items for resell. This item was ordered on or around june 2, 2012, and has not arrived yet.
To this day, June 24, 2012, he will say that it is in route, he's refunding or trying to figure out what happened. One minute it's on the way, the next minute he will submit a refund.

Since I saw this on Craigslist in Columbia, SC i'm guessing he is ripping people off and scamming people cross-country, if he is actually in california. He claims to be from SC. His picture or a picture is on www.picasa.com
