Sometime in the first week of June 2012, I received an e-mail from this company offering a loan from $3,000 to $10,000,000 at 3% interest. I asked for $6,000.00 and asked from which country this company is and replied from Johannesburg, South Africa. The e-mail messages were signed by Pedro Williams. After supposedly approving my loan, I was asked to choose between MoneyGram and Western Union for the transmittal of my loan. But first I have to pay a tax transfer fee of $200.00 which was reduced to $100 first and the balance after I get the loan to which I agreed and sent the $100 via Western Union to their receiver who is named Chima Simon. After receiving the $100.00 I received an e-mail to choose between Western Union and MoneyGram for the loan transfer. I chose Western Union. The following day I got a reply that Western Union and MoneyGram would not accept a big amount. I inquired from Western Union and MoneyGram here in Anchorage, Alaska and was advised that for big amounts they issue their check cashable in their bank here in Anchorage, Alaska. Instead this Pedro Williams insisted on Al Rajhi Bank in Malaysia where their Head office is located. I submitted my banking details but got a reply that my account is inactive, as such, could not accept international transfer of funds. However, if I pay $500.00 as activation fee the bank would activate my bank account. When I refused this Pedro Williams reduced the activation fee to $300.00. As an incentive, I could send via Western Union $150.00 at first and the balance once the loan transfer has been done to which I agreed. I again transmitted this $150 via Western Union to their same receiver. After receiving $150 from Western Union, this Pedro Williams insisted again that Western Union and MoneyGram would not accept big amount for the transfer. After I argued, Pedro Williams suggested another bank for the loan transfer but this time the bank would like my signature in person to ensure the transfer but relented that a lawyer would suffice to stand for me. This Pedro Williams advised me by e-mail that $500 is the lawyer's fee but could be reduced to $300. I refused and demanded to return my money in the amount of$250.00. This is still hanging in the air.
