Nana Posed herself as being a american citizen who was stranded in West Africa (Ghana). After going there to assist a female friend in opening a business (hair salon), and was lefted there by this friend, who supposely went on a Holiday to Europe to meet with her Husband. The friend never returned and she was lefted there with an expired Visa and no means to support herself. I was approached by her through a email after seeing my profile from some social network. I tried to contact her a couple of times, but we kept missing each other. She finally contacted me through facebook and set up an meeting time and we finally got a chance to talk. She told me all her troubles and told me that she was originally from ghana on her mother's side, but was raised in Austrailia. Then later moved to America and became a citizen. She immediately asked me for money only after knowing me for a couple of weeks and professing that she felt very close to me and would like to come back to america and settle down with me..Now I'm no body"s fool, and my red flags went up..I told her how do I know that she is who she claims she is and all I know of her is a story.. She said that she hated to ask me for money so soon but she had no other person to turn to cause she had no family..Her Mother and father were killed in a car accident in Austrialia, when she was very young, according to her. I told her that I dont even know if she was real and there was no way I was going to send her that type of money..The money was suppose to be for her to leave Ghana and come back here. She told me no, that she was real and this was not a scam and even got on camera for me a couple of times, and she was the same person that was in the photo's.. She asked me to send the money to her wester union and she would get it right away and would leave there the next day if I wanted. I guarded because she knew too much of how western union worked and the process of recieving money made me think she had done this before. I asked here how much she needed for the ticket and she said that all she needed was $273 because she had a return ticket and just had to pay for the date change because she was forced to extend there. I knew it was a scam, but still had a bit of doubt that she could be real. and told myself that this would be a way of exposing here early and rid myself of any future dealings. I sent her the money and she thanked me and told me as soon as she had made flight plans she would get back with me and let me know what going on. I did hear from her at all the next day, so I thought that was it and I would never here from her again..But to my surprise she did call me and she told me that her ticket was more than she thought because it had expired and she had to pay for the whole price of the return trip. I wasnt surprised by that and knew that she would come up with some excuse. I asked her why wasnt she aware of that fact before going to the airport. She said that she already had that infor from the last time she attempted to leave and found out that she had to come up with money to pay on her ticket due to cancellations . She needed $880 and when do i think i could come up with that amount..I told her never and I wasnt willing to do that. She said that she understood and didnt know how we would get together then. She told me that she tested me by asking me for the lnitial money to see if I was serious about her or not and when I sent her the money it came at a deperate time and she knew that I really cared for her. She started professing her love for me, constantly telling me so. Even when I kepted asking her not too, cause her saying it so much made it sound fake. She claimed she couldnt help it because she felted that God had sent me to her. Well this went on for about two years. I from time to time would help her with bills and expenses. Never truely thinking that this was real, but I had no concrete proof..I couldnt find any out of the ordinary transgressions or correspondences made by her. She never stop professing of how she wanted me to come and be with me and as far as she was concerned she was already with me. I looked, searched, prayed for something to tell me the truth about this woman..Was she woman she made herself out to be or was this a total scam, and I have allowed myself to care about her? Well just recently I finally secured the finances for her trip all under the guise of her finally recieving the money that she had invested in a gold purchase and they had sent her a check and had the funds ready for her pick up ither from a bank here in New york or a Bank in the United Kingdom. She showed me the documentation and the letter and check copies. I still wasnt convinced and told her so, but decided that this would be the way of know for sure about Nana ama Lana. Well I sent her the money..I didnt hear from her the next day as usual. But she did contact me early the next morning saying that she was very tired by the time she had gotten back from making flight arraignments. She offered me no details, not new internatioal phone number from a phone she had purchased. Only a quick I love you so much and will see you soon.. That was almost a week ago and I have heard nothing. So my suspicions were true, only I wish that I hadnt of invested so much money into this relationship before finding out>
