In April 2012, The manager at this park, Pam Walker, Rosewood Estates, El Mirage, AZ., a YES Community approached me about buying a home since I was a responsible renter for over 2 years. I told her I needed a home inspection and she told me, "Don't worry about it, we will fix anything that is wrong. We want our residents to be happy." At first they did, fixed leaking plumbing and a broken ceiling fan, offered to fix a broken window, which I am still waiting for repairs. Then in May when I discovered the A/C unit was not cooling the house, they offered to send us to a motel, paid for the service tech to come look at the unit on four separate occasions. When the repair tech would not tell us what was really wrong with the unit, since he could not fix it, I called another service and got a quote of $2550 to $6000 to rebuild the unit - it was shot. Then I called the Parks' service tech who independently gave me the same repair bill. When I approched the Park with the repairs they did not reply at all. Then when I got "serious" they aggreed to make the repairs to the A/C. Today I got another email from Pam asking me to pay half or she would give me the option to move out. Really? What happened to the other aggreement? Seems to me she is making promises and saying whatever it takes to sell her homes, just some paint and new floors, and they are ready to go. She even had the nerve to tell me the place was refurbished in and out. I have every conversation in writing (email) along with her promises to repair the A/C. It now is 113+ degrees and nearly 3 months later and I have had to invent $600 in fans and room coolers. At the very least, people should be aware of the their bad "used car" sales practices.
