This is a debt collection company. They sent me a letter telling me I owe late fees on 7 XBOX 360 games that I rented from Hollywood Video. #1 I don't own a XBOX 360 So why would I rent games! #2 All Rentals of movies were returned to this company as soon as I heard they were going out of bussiness and account closed on o1/04/2010 tHEY SAY i OWE $28.02 FOR 7 GAMES i RENTED! I feel this company is trying to rip off the unweary public on there claims I contacted them onlt to be threaten of bad credit called names and hung up on. The person would not give there name there phone # 1-281-647-4156. How many collection company do you know with out a toll free # Me. Zero. Well did a little investigating on my own and here is what's on the BBB for this Co. The BBB is receiving a pattern of complaint activity regarding unpaid fees. BBB complainants allege that the letter they are receiving from Universal Fidelity states they are “the Legal Successor to Hollywood Video” and consumers are to pay the fees owed with no description of the charges. The letter also alleges that “Unless you notify this office within 30 days after receiving your initial notice that you dispute the validity of the debt or any portion thereof, this office will assume this debt is valid.” All complainants mentioned they did not owe any money to Universal Fidelity or Hollywood Video. I filed my complait with the BBB
