long story short, I puchased a pair of vintage JBL L-300 audio speakers from a Craig's List ad posted in Leeds, UK, listed by a one, Andrew Cortez. We emailed several times back and forth, developing a good repoir and spoke via phone atleast 3 times prior to making the transaction. Mr. Cortez said that he had a few bad experiences using paypal and would rather do a bank to bank wire transfer to complete the sale. Well needless to say my desire to purchase these long sought after speakers got the better of my judgement and since we had been developing a bit of a mutual trust with phone, emails, addresses, his bank information (I did not give him my account info at all) I made the wire transfer on 5/24/2012 and have not heard from Mr. Cortez since nor have the speakers been delivered. I have attempted to contact him with no less than 10 emails and 10 voice messages on his supposed number. One more thing, the first wire transfer did not go through to his bank, Natwest in the UK, apparently his wife's name, Angela Cortez, was the first name on the account and thus had to be re-sent. I have his email address and all emails, phone no., supposed address, bank acct info with acct # etc. I feel so stupid and violated.
