My date above is an estimate as to the exact day of the month.

My husband had a stroke in March 2011. We could no longer afford our home. During the Summer of 2011, we were helped by a group, for free, but the modification we received was only $100.00 off our regular Mortgage payment, not much help.

We were contacted by DocPrep123.com in or around November 2011. I can get the exact date after going through tons of paperwork. They stated that they could help us through Obama's HAMP Program and they wanted $1200.00, but promised a REFUND if things didn't work in our favor. It was a tremendous stretch to come up with that amount as my husband was now collecting disability, as was I. We paid the $1200.00, received the paperwork, submitted it to our Lender. Our Lender absolutely refused to even look at the paperwork.

We contacted Ashley at DocPrep123.com regarding our Refund. She refused us on the basis that we had no proof that we even sent the paperwork to our Lender or that our Lender didn't look at it.

Our Lender decided to do an in-house Modification. We supplied all the information, and they refused us.

Our Lender also refused to send us a letter stating that they didn't read the paperwork from DocPrep123.com or wouldn't consider DocPrep's proposal.

Finally, and I can't tell you the date, but we received a letter from our Lender that should have satisfied DocPrep123.com. However, Ashley, the boss, told us that wasn't enough. We needed to prove to her that our Lender had done a HAMP in the Summer 2011. She insisted that they hadn't or the payment would have been more affordable.

I found something on their letterhead that said "HAMP" and faxed it to her.

She insisted that we try again. She even promised us our money back if she, DocPrep123.com, didn't succeed.

Again, our Lender wouldn't look at DocPrep's paperwork, but have done a modification after my husband threatened them with our wonderful Attorney General.

I have called DocPrep123.com several times to try to get our money back, but no one ever returned the phone calls.

We have just finished paying off 3 months of the Modification, and are awaiting approval.

DocPrep123.com can no longer be found on the net, just a big error screen comes up.

What do we do now? How do we get our money back? We aren't that old, we are both disabled and we have our youngest son still living with us. We could really use that money. Life is pretty desperate around here. We struggled like hell to gather the money to pay 3 months of the Modification.

Can anyone help? Is there a class action lawsuit? Anything?
