My father received a letter along with a $3,980 check stating he had won $150,000 the check was to cover the taxing fees. He was to call the agent before trying to cash the check, he called this morning and was told that he was selected because he shopped at Home Depot, or Walmart etc. in the past 3 years. That he was to take the check and deposit it into his bank account and wait for it to clear and to call them back. I myself knew it was a scam but to prove it to them I looked up the number to Primerica Life Insurance Company, because that's supposedly who the check is coming from, spoke to a nice gentleman and he knew exactly what I was talking about before I was able to finish what I had to say. This is 100% a SCAM... It really is sad how people can do this kind of stuff. Having worked for Walmart and dealing with Money Transfers I've been "trained" to spot a scam, and this one was certainly easy to do, but for hopeful people it's hard to believe that it's a lie. SHAME SHAME!
