Offer made to purchase a car for $58,000 was accepted. Cashier's Check in the amount of $65,000 was received subject to payment to "shipping agent" of $7,000. After the cashier's check cleared our account we sent payment to shipping agent as requested via Western Union. Several days later the bank informed us that the check had been "returned to maker" this after assuring us it was a valid cashier's check. It was too late...
