Complaint 123010 Details

I bought a dress on Monsoondresses.com about 30 days ago. I was actually looking for Monsoon the clothing store chain (not to be confused) and ended up looking at this site. To my dismay I bought a dress (apparently from the Monsoon SS/12 range) as it was so much cheaper (£54.55 & not £139.00 as in Monsoon), and genuinely thought I was just cutting out the middle man, so to speak. My online payment was taken by Fashionpay.com. and the dress was to arrive 3-5 working days later.

Anyway long story short, phoned my bank straight away because something didn't feel right about it, nothing they could do for 30 days, sent several emails to Monsoondresses.com, they kept saying my parcel was on it's way. Started copying Fashionpay.com into the emails, they assured me everything was fine and to be patient. Then, my emails started being sent back by Mailer-Daemon. I think they were in cahoots. The payment showed on my statement as coming from 'Nature-Wind Clothing'.

Today I received my dress. Well. How to describe. Imagine I drew a cartoon picture of a dress i.e. no sleeves, round neck, straight up and down, and then gave my 5 year old neice a pair of plastic scissors and asked her to make it out of my nan's old underslip, you may be somewhere close to the 'article' that arrived.

I guess they work on the principle that most people will leave it at that, but it's going back today for a refund after I've taken a photo of it. My bank told me they could get involved after 30 days so let's hope I get my money back, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
