I was outside and approached by a young man who introduced himself as either a son or a newphew of who I thought was an old neighbor who had moved from our neighborhood. The conversation was all about the Veterans in hospitals, etc. and his college. Were I to choose some magazines from his portfolio, the above would be the recipients. Also, he would receive $80 of the cash toward his college tuition. Thinking he was a serious young student who used to live in this neighborhood I purchased magazines in the above amount.

I have no idea if the VA hospitals ever benefitted from all this. Just today I was looking at the website and could not believe what I read! I haven't checked my bank statement either to see if my check was cashed. This is so sad.
