REceived a telephone call, purportedly from Microsoft Support, telling me that my p.c. and laptop were infected with Trojan Horse virus. A large number of files were corrupted, but only appeared on that date. Cleared files and charged £604.95p for lifetime support. As I watched the remote logging I began to realise that the software being downloaded was readily available, at no cost, on the internet.
AMMYY and PC Masters are one and the same. I contacted each to complain and request a refund, as I had been directed by 'Kevin' when he informed me that PC masters was a fraudulent company, then went on to try to sell me more software, to give the same purported protection, at a further cost of £79.95b but he had sold me the initial software.

When I tried to contact the companies I found myself talking to Kevin each time. He called back and denied that he had made subsequent calls or asked for any more money.

Email addresses and telephone numbers are not operational.
